Nancy R. Murray
Attracted to complementary healing systems in the 1970's, in order to maintain her health while working as a union carpenter, Nancy took her earliest health-time Reiki Healing practice from her home. In 1994 she joined with five other Level 2 Reiki practitioners to form Key Stone Reiki and Associates. She completed her Reiki Master training in 1996.
From May 1990 to February 2000, Nancy worked as a PTA at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, treating patients primarily in the Intensive Care Units at Presbyterian and Montefiore Hospitals. Over the past 20 years Nancy has achieved competency in other healing modalities, such as Therapeutic Massage, Basic Touch For Health, Kriya Yoga and Hawaiian Shamanism. Yet, for Nancy, Reiki Healing is her passion.
Nancy completed her Reiki Master training in the Usui System of Reiki Healing in 1996 with Reiki Master Linda Keiser Mardis of Olney, Maryland. Nancy’s spiritual lineage of empowerment in the Western Line of the Usui System of Reiki Healing is: Mikao Usui > Chujiro Hayashi > Hawayo Takata > Phyllis Furumoto > Linda Keiser Mardis.
She has taken training in the traditional Japanese methods of Usui Reiki Ryoho from Reiki Masters Tom Rigler, Hiroshi Doi, and Rev. Hyakuten Inamoto. The structure and content of Nancy's classes remains aligned with the standards of the Reiki Alliance. She incorporates the Japanese Usui Reiki Ryoho methods when appropriate.
She has over twenty years of experience in treating clients in their homes, hospitals, rehab centers and hospice situations. Her clients can be guaranteed personal, prompt and compassionate service. Nancy serves Pittsburgh/East End/Regent Square; Oakland; CMU Health Services; Butler County/West Sunbury/Datta Retreat Center.
