2009 is quickly coming to an end. It is a time of the year that I take stock of all that’s occurred and make plans for the coming year.
In reviewing 2009 it appears that many folks recognized that a state of global emergency exists and they called for change. The realization has reached home that the global civilization that we’ve created is no longer sustainable. Ecological, economic, cultural, political and personal crises made lots of headlines and, at times, reached catastrophic proportions. One good result from it all is that it presents opportunities for the creation of new structures and substantive change. As Ervin Laszlo has said, “…one thing that it doesn’t allow : going on as before.”
As for Key Stone Reiki, we’re facing our changes and challenges also. The structure of KSR will be evolving in 2010. Jane Critchfield is moving to Florida and will explore expanding our practice into a Southeast Regional Branch of KSR. With his recent Reiki initiation into Mastery, Philip Buttenfield will be adding teaching Reiki classes to his already bustling treatment schedule. Lella Lombardi has committed to upgrading our website so that those of you with MACs can more easily access our information and communicate with us. The practice in general will be seeking interested Reiki practitioners who want to become more involved in offering reiki healing services - perhaps as a “point” person for a special project, a team member in a distance healing group or as a practitioner who wants to be listed on our website as a referral for offering reiki treatments.
Having turned 60, I’m looking at my ‘elder’ years and what contributions I can make to the development of our “Ascending Akashic Consciousness”. I’ve chosen to expand my personal training services - especially in the area of spiritual development. At the nudging of some students and clients, I will be offering a series of classes, presentations and workshops in 2010 on topics which are “Exploring Ancient Mysteries.” Most topics will be discussed in small group sessions (6 or less individuals) over a period of a month or 6 weeks. Historical and theoretical material will be presented, but the emphasis of each gathering will be on learning activities and techniques that will be self-empowering and self-healing. The goal is to have folks experience connection and receive guidance, not just talk about it. Each gathering will last about 2 hours and there will be a small fee to attend each session.
